I received this in an e-mail, normally I pass on putting my two cents in when it comes to internet politics so to speak, but I have just reached my limit. I am sending this to (Senator) Robt. A Hall if I am computer savvy enough to find an email address for him? I am assuming he is the original writer of this e-mail although you can never be sure can you. Mr. Hall this is out there with your name on it if you agree with it and they are your words since I got your opinion I thought you might like mine.
Mr. Hall is represented in blue I am in red

WAKE UP AMERICA, DON'T YOU SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING?
"I'm 63 and I’m Tired" by Robert A Hall (SENATOR)

"I'm 45 and I'm tired" by Christopher M. Costley
(AVG CITIZEN)

I'm 63. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I am 45 but I get your point and isn’t it the truth!

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I am tired of being told that helping those less fortunate then ourselves is a bad thing, I am tired of being told that the people getting that money are too LAZY to work. I was one of those people for a time and so where a lot of my friends some of whom for medical conditions still are and will remain “those people”. I am tired of hearing that anyone who is struggling unless of course I know them personally say a member of my family, is a lazy left wing liberal. I am tired of people who only use a limited set of standards on what this country is all about. It isn't only your life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, this country also was founded on good “Christian values”, like giving to those in need, and taking care of those less fortunate than us. As Americans we join together and all lend a hand when any of us is in trouble. This is a land of "promise" and it goes both ways, it is a promise for you and also by you. If you don't want to pay those taxes by all means go somewhere else, but when you go let’s make it a law you won’t do business here in any form. Taxes are like membership dues if you don’t like paying them by all means leave the organization. Part of this being "the land of opportunity" is that we help as we go and there should be a certain responsibility to other Americans since the system that allowed you to succeed is not without its pot holes and detours for others, and you should feel a bit responsible to this country and its people for what it has allowed you to do. Do you think Jesus would be passing these same judgments on the poor and down trodden he would come across today? Where are these Christian values I keep hearing about, or do we just save those for the easy stuff like gay marriage, and pornography.

I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help. But if they bought Mansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.

I agree but since you are a senator let me also add that… I am tired of the fact that instead of doing anything remotely beneficial to this colossal two party circle jerk, the powers that be just acted like monkeys in a cage. They threw their feces around at each other until they all looked and smelled well, just full of you know what. And besides throwing as much blame as they could on whoever was on the other side of the cage they did nothing about the problem itself! Stop pointing fingers and FIX SOMETHING!!!!

I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe, the freedom of the press of China, the crime and violence of Mexico, the tolerance for Christian people of Iran, and the freedom of speech of Venezuela.

I am tired being told how bad America is by right-wing millionaires like Rush, Hannity, or any other political pundit / entertainer. I am tired of being told that Michael Moore or George Soros speaks for some mystical group of people out here that some continuously try to shove me into if I so much as disagree with where we drill for oil. I did say where not if, just where. A difference of opinion from the left or the right does not make me a tree hugging liberal or a elitist conservative. And this type of pigeon holing is childish and ridiculous. And it isn’t just the left you know. Rush, Hannity & Beck, are nothing more than the alter egos of Moore & Soros, they have the same misguided notions as the aforementioned in that they think they speak for too many and they assume they know what we want. And living in luxury....Rush and the boys are making a killing, same as the other nut job extremist and they too live a pretty good life as "Entertainers".

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari ‘a law tells them to.

I am tired of hearing about Muslims and their religion from people who don't know about that religion. I do not claim that I do either but I know this, I spent two years with "Muslim” Boys attending school with and hanging around with my three daughters. Terrorist no, hated Americans...lol, wanted to destroy us, again I don't think so. Are they the minority?...How many “Muslims” do you know, personally not from the news? My point, I wouldn't want the Muslim community to base their opinion of Catholicism by watching the news. For example, the Christian standards as set forth by the KKK who has also burned schools and churches, hung and mutilated men and women, and treated a whole class of people as second rate humans, not just women. All done with a firm belief that the Bible they carry in their hands told them they were justified in doing so. Terrorism against the U.S., how about our very own Timothy McVeigh. I am sure Oklahoma remembers. And last but certainly not least I know a few "good Christian" men who attend church every Sunday and who Beat the hell out of their wives and daughters do you get my point. We have to stop lumping everyone together and basing our opinions about an entire race or religion on the information you get from people with agendas. They are not all terrorist and at the same time I wouldn’t want to just let anyone of “them” around my daughters...WOW, is that statement even possible, could I really believe that. Yes it is possible, and healthy, and the CHRISTIAN thing to do.!!

I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois.

I agree we are a far cry away from being past racial issues in this country and not only for the reasons stated above. So while we are on the subject of race I am also tired of being told race doesn't matter. I for one can't recall the last time this government held a white European leader to the same standards we place on the “brown”,” black” and “yellow” ones. Yes racism is alive and well. In answer to the question the last person to my knowledge was of course Hitler in the 40's. I am not talking about sanctions and embargo’s and talks, I am talking about shooting at someone, with the sole intent of trying to kill them openly. The thing about Hitler you have to remember is we didn’t do much of anything against him while he rolled through Europe at the start, it was only after the Japanese (see non-white) bombed Pearl Harbor. Another example; If we are so fired up about ending global injustice and atrocities, and we are in a war against terrorist wherever they maybe, why have we not done anything in Ireland....You have your religious violence, your women and children killed in the streets, car bombs, certainly countless acts of terrorism as we define them,...why then not Ireland? Oops that’s right their white and to make matters worse they are Christians and Protestants i.e. (not Muslim)......YEP, racism is alive and well.

I think it's very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.

I think the people who spout about personal freedoms and less govt. always seem to be talking about businesses and their owners because they damn sure don't want the government out of my life. Example let the businesses enjoy this global market, you know where you American companies can leave in droves hiring cheap workers in Indonesia for example and then selling your product right back here. Of course we won’t tax you for that. We need to keep out the govt. right? You sure don't want the govt. regulating anything like the housing market do you? You know you can blame the party you desire for putting the plans in place for this to happen but you can’t blame them for the companies, who knowing full well what was happening, continued on with money making as usual knowing they certainly wouldn’t feel the fall out. They don’t seem able to regulate themselves in any fashion when the money is rolling in no matter the future outcome. And I bet you the very people who benefited the most from a tax dollar backed bailout are the same people who do their best to avoid paying taxes and think welfare is for the lazy. Bail out money is welfare money same thing. And yet we sure don't need any restrictions placed on those people. And then there is of course me, I cannot even use a Canadian Pharmacy, in this Global market because if I send my “business” abroad it will hurt the drug companies bottom line!...Do you people listen to your selves how damn elitist are you going to get before the people who vote for you catch on??? It AMAZES THE .......oh well, next!

I'm tired of a news media that thinks Bush's fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama's, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush's military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News? Get a clue. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

I am tired of political balls period. I guess I should say I am against political balls but I would stand up and cheer for one politician "with balls" I am am tired of the idiots who still try to defend Sarah Palin she was and remains completely unqualified to hold the job she was trying to attain. She may be a nice, loving person, but so was Forrest Gump. In my humble opinion She is qualified to lead a Girl Scout Troop as long as there are other adults present and she is not in charge of anything flammable. And for God sakes FOX being called news really!! It is an oxymoron. They are a republican mouth piece, not that I care so much... but FAIR AND BALANCED, and NEWS, come on we aren’t that stupid.,, well I am not anyway. If I want a right wing conservative view I'll turn on Fox, if I want the left wing liberal view Ill turn on Democracy Now but neither of them are FAIR AND BALANCED NEWS shows.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and madras Islamic schools to preach hate in America, while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

Now here I agree let’s not send one more dime for oil to them SOB’s who been bending everybody but the oil companies over one of their beloved barrels for over forty years now. Lets let them get along without for a bit, half of us don't have jobs to get to right now anyway so it will be less strain on our reserves. It (oil) is going to run out at some point, let’s just start pulling back now while we can control the transition.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're green enough.

one question, are you against recycling is that a blow to your standard of living...would you say that recycling is a pretty good idea if we would like to continue to live on this big blue marble for a long time to come....and wouldn’t you also say that whether or not we are causing "global warming" , is really not the issue. We do know that we are not doing ourselves any favors by pumping all these toxins, and green house gases, and fossil fuel related crap into the atmosphere....it is common sense that it can’t be good. So please let’s stop arguing over the facts or fantasy of "Global Warming" How about we look at the fact that we need, less reliance on fossil fuel to sever our ties with those who hate us, and dictate how we fight terrorism on all fronts. How about we find ways to eliminate green house gases because it makes it easier for us all to just BREATHE. I don’t give a Rats behind about Global warming, but I would like to fill my lungs with something other than fossil fuel and toxins just seems to make sense. Global warming is an argument for scientist, cleaning up this place and finding alternative fuels because it makes us stronger economically and physically, that is what you should we should be worried about. But once again we hide from the real issues because as soon as someone says anything about alternative fuels they are thrown into the tree hugger’s pile or the Global warming crowd. Seriously a folk saving the planet is a JOKE, the planet will be here long after we are gone, it is really about saving our own behinds, period!

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don't think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.

Me too. Well not the Marijuana thing sorry folks I tried it and I did inhale. But back to those nasty drug addicts. You know for my grandpa John the drug of choice was booze. Oh we aren’t talking social drinking here he and therefore the rest of us went way passed that. We got into the life altering drinking, AA meetings, family effecting, yeah, that kind of drinking . It sure wasn’t a disease though, as you so eloquently pointed out, No "germ" jumped him in an alley and crammed a high ball down Johns throat. Although if he could have gotten to that alley without driving it would have been a lot safer for us all. Nope he chose to drink. You know this subject isn't funny that when you talk like this about someone you love instead of in generalities is it. It just doesn’t sit quite right, leaves you a little uneasy feeling. Put a face you know to a problem and suddenly we are into those shades of grey (but more on that later), maybe we should keep that in mind when we talk about other situations that just aren’t beating on our own back door. Of course that was just a side course back to the meat....of course it may not be the fact that they "chose" to take them at all that is the problem, but maybe just maybe, it’s the why they chose to take them. Could that in fact be the question/problem we should be working on. Well the trouble there is when you do that you take things out of the simple world of black and white and introduce those damn shades of grey. It is kind of funny, I call it the grey phenomenon. With some people as soon as you venture out of black and whiteville you can physically see the shutters being drawn right across the eyes and one of two things will usually happen. one their mouths open slightly, and a slow raspy breath drags across a tired throat, vibrating a small white line of spittle that has formed in the corner of the rapidly drying mouth...or they start getting upset with you, acting either overly aggressive or defensive and sometimes they fall back on that name calling. do you recognize those signs...If you do you should know you have just watched the closing of a mind. Oh, the horror!!!

I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next? Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"? And, no, I’m not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion. I'm willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military. Those are the citizens we need.

I agree, BUT how about some limits on how many of these fine new Americans we allow in of any ethnicity or religion! There is a limit as to how many people we can hold, isn’t there?

I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in war? You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave? Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are? Not even close. So here's the deal. I'll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.

ONCE AGAIN NICELY SAID, CAN I TELL YOU I HAVE HAPPILY AVOIDED THE PEOPLE DISSING ARE SOLDIERS AND SAILORS i DONT REALLY THINK THERE ARE TOO MANY OUT THERE AND AROUND HERE ANYWAY I THINK THEY WOULD BE PUT IN THEIR PLACE RATHER QUICKLY. MAYBE WE SHOULD SEND SOME VETS UP TO HIS HOME TOWN SOUNDS LIKE THEY NEED HELP?

I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in Illinois, where the "Illinois Combine" of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the tax cheats in Obama's cabinet. And therein is the problem ,it is always the other guy.

YOU JUST SAID YOU WERE TIRED OF IT AND THEN IN THE NEXT SENTENCE YOU DID IT!!!! IT SOUNDS AS IF YOU ARE AGAINST BIPARTISANSHIP WHEN IT HURTS YOU, NOT SO MUCH WHEN IT HELPS YOU. WOULDN’T THE ILLINOIS COMBINE BE A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF NEEDING BIPARTISANSHIP. BUT ONCE AGAIN You play the lefts against the rights while you sit up there fat dumb and happy sticking it to us every damn chance you get. When was the last time either party said no to their raises, shut THE F… up about the other party it’s both of YOU.!!!

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

ONCE AGAIN, I AGREE!

Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor”. The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing

OKAY,.

I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

REALLY YOU’RE TIRED. The very fact that they can’t get anything done because of those other guys! Really you said that... I have got to laugh, TO KEEP FROM CRYING! This is coming from SENATOR Robert A Hall , Hell Rob, I thought those where your constituents, I thought you were representing them in congress. You all (the House too don't get me wrong) seem to have the blame game down pat!!!! It’s them Democrats, or it’s them Republicans. Yada, yada, yada,..........How about you, Mr. Senator, how about you take some of the responsibility for your life and your actions, I am tired of hearing you blame the government, or the Democrats/Republicans, or special interest, for your problems. Listen to your own advice!!!

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my grandchildren.

And these types of rants always seem to end like this “Well at least I won’t have to see….Well here is my response to that. You should be happy if you have grandchildren that are young enough that they will not have been exposed to the "I got mine, screw you" mentality that has permeated this country since the early eighties. And as for "these People"....It was your generation who took us from a government the people trusted with presidents like, Eisenhower or the Roosevelt’s to the Nixon’s, Bush’s, & Clintons... It was your generation that brought us corruption and assassinations in our gov't. It was on your watch that trust went out the window. It was during your term that Patriotism got labeled and pigeon holed. It was YOU and Your cronies who reduced Politics to name calling, mudslinging, and one party vs. the other for the benefit of those parties and at the expense of the American People. And you have the audacity to say “THESE PEOPLE”. YOU MY FRIEND, MR. SENATOR, YOU ARE "THESE PEOPLE". You can’t escape your years of service as if they did not lead us, or allow us to be taken, to the point we are now . No sir, you my friend own a big fat part of the white elephant now sitting on this countries back. You do not get to wash your hands of this like some modern day, Pontius Pilot. Where is your “accepting responsibility” NOW!!!!

Robert A. Hall is a Marine Vietnam veteran who served five terms in the Massachusetts State Senate.

Christopher M Costley is a Navy/Army Vet. and is a proud citizen of these United States. Who visited the Senate once, I think, as a child and votes every chance he gets.
this last part was attached to the e-mail. I dont guess they are Robert Hall's words
there is not way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on. This is your chance to make a difference!
